6-Class ‘Beginning Mindfulness’ for Grades 3-5
Professional athletes, students and the military use mindfulness because it strengthens our brains, like exercise strengthens our bodies. In this course, participants learn simple tools to sustain attention, calm big feelings and make smarter choices. Practice Clubs for Kids meet Thursdays Grades 2 – 5, Starts September 15 Mindful Kids Practice Clubs offer students, who have taken mindfulness classes, a chance to go deeper in their understanding of mindfulness and practice its strategies, in a formal group setting. Each week, students will learn tools for navigating challenging thoughts and overwhelming feelings. They will practice releasing emotion by relaxing their bodies, enjoy mindful eating with a healthy snack and use meditation techniques to strengthen attention and focus.
