Time Magazine reported the benefits of mindfulness education for kids in their January 26 and February 3, 2015 issues. Time highlighted recent studies that measured a 15% improvement in math scores and 24% decrease in aggression in 4th and 5th graders in its January 26th edition.
Time‘s February 5th infographic, pictured at the far right below, gave a one-page picture of the recent research in mindfulness training with kids, including the January findings, mentioned above:
- Elementary children showed better focus, self-control, class participation & self-respect.
- Adolescents in a British study showed decreased levels of depression and increas feelings of well-being.
- Third Graders showed fewer ADD symptoms and less hyperactive behavior.
